BOE Approves Administrators For 2018-2019 School Year PDF Print E-mail

The Chattooga Board of Education approved its administrators and principals for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year at its last meeting on Feb. 15.
The system approves the administrators and usually the next month names the teachers for the upcoming year.
Central Office/Education Center administrators approved were: Jared Hosmer, Assistant Superintendent/Curriculum Director; Beth Hall, Special Education Director; Debbie Garrett, School Psychologist; Mike Martin, Title I Director and Michelle Floyd, Social Worker.
Principals approved were: Mark Pickle, Menlo Elementary School; Charles Cooper, Lyerly Elementary School; Brian Beasley, Leroy Masse Elementary School; Kevin Muskett, Summerville Middle School; Jeff Martin, Chattooga High School and Barry Peppers, Chattooga Academy/Crossroads.
Assistant Principal named were: Anna Nichols and Margaret (Peggy) Hicks, Leroy Massey Elementary School; Leann Lowry, Summerville Middle School; Emily Mobbs, CTAE Director, Chattooga High School; Stacy Edwards and Billy Martin, Chattooga High School.
Success Team members named were Michelle Helie, Lisa Davis, Angela Culbert and Paula Buice.
The board approved the new five-year Facilities Plan at the meeting.
The board approved the financial report for December 31. The documents showed with 50 percent of the fiscal year completed, the system had received 47.89 percent of its anticipated revenue and had made 51 percent of its budgeted expenditures.
The fund balance was $4,749,015.12.
The board received $126,691.07 in Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) funds and $201.36 in December Pro Rata LOST funds. They received $126,702.76 in Special Local Option Sales (SPLOST) Tax funds and $191.51 in December Pro Rata SPLOST funds.
The system received $660,775.88 m property taxes and $50,552.50 in Title Ad Valorem taxes.
In personnel action, the board:
*  Approved the retirement of Melissa Lanier as CCEC, TKES/LKES Coordinator effective June 18;
 * Approved the retirement of Scott Lanier, Special Ed teacher at Chattooga High School, effective Sept. 30;
* Approved the retirement of Bobbie Lenderman as Special Ed teacher at Leroy Massey Elementary School, effective June 5;
* Approved the retirement of Shirley Marbut as Media Specialist at Lyerly Elementary School, effective June 5;
* Approved the retirement of David Rogers, CHS construction teacher, effective May 31;
* Approved the retirement of Cheryl White, teacher at Leroy Massey Elementary, effective May 31;
* Approved the transfer of Leann Porter from Chattooga High School to media specialist at Lyerly Elementary School;
* Approved the employment of Lane Pace as full-time bus driver beginning Jan. 16.
