A domestic disturbance in the Little Caesar's Pizza drive through resulted in a Trion man's arrest, according to court records.
Gary Stephen Witt II, 41, was sitting in the passenger seat when he started arguing with his live-in, Brandy Chamblee. Their four-year-old son was also present, according to court records.
"Steven and I had a disagreement and he was in the passenger seat and reached over, opened up the door and kept pushing me out. Then he got my backpack and pocketbook and threw it out and went to drive away," Chamblee told Chattooga County Deputy John Smith.
Witt claims he did not touch her. But after the deputy continued questioning him, his story changed.
"I'm not going to lie. Yes, I helped her out of the car. I told her to get out. I took her by the hand and helped her out of the car," Witt told the deputy.
Witt was charged with simple battery under the Family Violence Act for the incident on Feb. 16. Then last Thursday, Witt was also charged with reckless driving, according to jail reports.
