The Chattooga County Board of Education may sell a small parcel of land in Menlo.
The system owns an old schoolhouse in a remote area of Menlo. It's located on Morse Street near Pritchett Saw Mill.
"We've been talking about this for several years about selling it," Chattooga County Schools Superintendent Jimmy Lenderman said. "I don't see any need in the future. It's not close to anything."
The school owns about 1.33 acres that contains a dilapidated school building on it.
"It was falling in the last time I was there," Lenderman said.
The board will decide next month on whether to sell the property through a sealed bid process.
