  Trion Mayor Larry Stansell, council member and other dignitaries will cut the ribbon to open the newly installed splash pad at 1 p.m. Friday. The facility is located next to the Trion Recreation Center gymnasium and has a sport theme motif.
          The splash pad will be operational Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. till 9 p.m. and Sunday noon till 9 p.m.
Rules and Regulations
To start: Locate activator in corners of pad and press it to activate water features
·      Splash pad is unsupervised
·      All children under the age of 10 must have adult supervision
·      Toddlers must wear swim diapers
·      Patrons engaged in horse play or foul language will be asked to leave
·      Climbing on the splash pad features is strictly prohibited
·      Keep glass containers, bicycles, skateboards and in line skates off the splash pad
·      No food or drink allowed in splash pad area
·      No pet allowed
·      For your safety, splash pad is under 24 HOUR camera surveillance and is regularly monitored
