The death of 30-year-old Nathaniel Reynolds marks the third murder at Hays State Prison within a month.

Reynolds was repeatedly stabbed Friday while heading toward the general population area of the prison, an official says.

Reynolds was attacked by 36-year-old Gonzales Richardo and 39-year-old Leonardo Ramos Rodriques, according to warrants.

"[Gonzales] stabbed and killed Nathaniel Reynolds at Hays State Prison in Trion," GBI Agent Joe Montgomery stated in one warrant.

The GBI has charged Gonzales and Rodriques with murder and aggravated assault in connection with Reynolds' death.

Reynolds, also an inmate at Hays, was serving a life sentence for a 1999 murder in Fulton County. Rodriques is serving time for involuntary manslaughter.
